Tandoori Chicken

Made in the air fryer this chicken is perfectly juicy on the inside, with a nice char on the outside which seals in all the flavours. One of my favourite Indian street foods.

Ingredients

  • 3 Chicken thighs with bone
  • 2 tsp Mustard oil
  • 3 tbsp SOS Butter Masala
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder

Method

  1. Cut slits across the chicken thighs to let the marinade seep in
  2. Make a marinade with the Butter Masala sauce, Kashmiri red chilli powder and the mustard oil
  3. Add this to the chicken and mix well
  4. Turn on the Air fryer, keep the temp to 180*C and drop the chicken thighs in
  5. Let them cook for 10 minutes on one side then turn them over
  6. Now crank up the heat to 200*C and let the chicken char nicely for 5 minutes on each side
  7. Serve with green chutney or raita

Tips

If you dont have an air fryer you can make these in the oven or on a grill pan. Raita is a combination of whisked yogurt with chopped coriander, chopped cucumber with salt and pepper. Chutney can be made by blending a couple of green chillies, yogurt, coriander and salt.
