Our SOS Shakshouka is a rich, smoky, and spicy dish that brings together perfectly poached eggs in a deeply seasoned Harissa-based sauce—all in one pan! Unlike traditional shakshouka, this recipe skips the extra tomatoes and garlic because our SOS Harissa sauce already delivers all the bold flavors you need.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 small diced onion
- 350g sausage

4 tbsp SOS Harissa

1½ tbsps olive oil

Dried or fresh parsley for seasoning
Directions
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onion for 1 to 2 minutes
Chop the sausages and add to the pan and cook until brown
Add the SOS Harissa, mix well and let simmer for a couple of minutes
Crack 1 egg at a time and add on top of the sauce
Cover the pan with lid to expedite the cooking of the eggs
Cook for 5 to 7 minutes or till the eggs are done to your liking
Sprinkle dried or fresh parsley and enjoy while hot with toasted bread
Recipe Note
Want extra richness? Add crumbled feta or a drizzle of olive oil before serving and serve with toasted bread!
