This is a simple, easy, no fuss recipe for a cauliflower steak. These steaks look and taste great. Its a great alternative for those meatless days. Marinated with our SOS Butter Masala sauce and topped with green chutney, its a whole some main meal or a great appetizer for a party!
Ingredients

1 slice of cauliflower (1 inch thick)

3 tbsp of SOS Butter masala sauce

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tsp green chutney - 1 cup of coriander leaves, 1 tbsp plain yogurt, ½ tsp salt, 1 green chilli

1/2 tsp red chilli powder (optional)
Directions
Cut a steak (slice), 1 inch thick from the mid section of the cauliflower
- Spread some of the butter masala sauce on one side
- Flip and do the same
- Heat a grill pan and add the oil to it
- Now add the cauliflower steak and let it cook on one side on high heat for 2 min
- Flip and let the other side cook for 2 min
- Lower the flame and let it cook for 5 min with flipping in between
To make the green chutney - add the coriander, chilli, salt, yogurt to a blender. Blend till smooth
- Drizzle the chutney and sprinkle the chilli powder over the cauliflower
Recipe Note
Chefs tip: For best results, press the cauliflower steaks gently with a spatula while cooking to get an even sear and deeper flavour. You can air-fry or grill the steaks in an oven. If you are making more than one steak at a time, make sure all are the same size in thickness.
