A Taste of Tradition, Made Simple!
For years, Butter Chicken and Butter Paneer have been the go-to comfort foods for so many of us. The rich, creamy, perfectly spiced sauce is what makes these dishes so irresistible. But let’s be honest—making it from scratch takes time, effort, and a long list of ingredients.
Indian curries are known for their deep, complex flavors, achieved through carefully balancing spices, slow cooking, and multiple preparation steps. While the results are always worth it, the process can be overwhelming.
With our Butter Masala Sauce, preparing this class has never been easier. Simply add your choice of protein or vegetables, let it simmer, and serve with warm naan or rice.
Ingredients
-
450g Chicken thigh (boneless)
-
1 Jar of SOS Butter Masala sauce (225g)
-
¼ Cup of water
-
1 tbsp Olive oil
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp red chilli powder or paprika
-
Coriander for garnish
Directions
Cut the chicken thighs into 2 inch pieces
Sprinkle the salt and chilli powder on the chicken and rub it on to the chicken pieces
Heat a pan and add the oil to it
Add in the pieces of chicken and saute for 2 minutes on each side
Now add in the whole jar Butter masala cooking sauce and water
Mix well. Lower the heat, cover and let simmer for 10 to 12 minutes
Garnish with coriander and serve with naan or rice
Recipe Note
Chefs tip: When the oil from the sauce separates, you have simmered it enough.
Replace the chicken with paneer to make a vegetarian version. Just rub salt and chilli powder on the paneer and saute the paneer for 1 min on each side on a heated pan and follow the rest of the step. To make it into a full feast serve with an indian raita or salad and papadums on the side!
