Harissa Shakshuka

Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs
  • 350g Sausage meat (6 large sausages or 10 to 12 small sausages)
  • 1 Onion 
  • 1 tsp dried or fresh parsley 
  • 4 tbsp SOS Harissa
  • 11/2 tbsp Olive oil 

Method

  1. Heat a pan, add the olive oil and saute the chopped onion till translucent
  2. Add in the chopped sausages or remove the meat from the casing and saute till golden brown
  3. Now add the Harissa, mix well and let it simmer for a min
  4. Crack one egg at a time and drop on this mixture
  5. Cover the pan with a lid and let the eggs cook to your liking
  6. Garnish with the dried or fresh parsley 

Tips

This goes well with a crusty bread or even pita bread.

For vegetarian version replace the chicken mince with plant based meat or tofu. And swap the egg yolk wash with milk
